Chabuddy CWC
Ahead of the launch of the Cricket World Cup ticket ballot, Ogilvy PR commissioned Black Shark Media to produce a series of comedy films featuring Chabuddy G. Written and directed by James Kibbey, the 3 film series saw Chabuddy G rebrand himself as Chabuddy CWC as he bluffed his way through umpiring, commentating, and attempting to steal the CWC Trophy.
The campaign picked up over 70 pieces of press coverage and 2.2 million views and through utilising Chabuddy G opened up a whole new audience to the Cricket World Cup. The films were also named by Campaign magazine as their ‘Pick Of The Week’.
