Black Shark Media’s first foray into film-making was a £50 short film called “In Absentia”. Made whilst still at university, the film went on to win 5 awards worldwide including Best Film at the Portobello Film Festival, Kevin Spacey’s Triggerstreet Film Festival, and the inaugural Budweiser Filmmaker Discovery Award in Hollywood.

Since then we have worked in a variety of different areas of film-making including music videos, a documentary with The Fratellis and Example, and a 3 month shoot at Alton Towers involving cranes, helicopters, and hovercams. In addition we have created films in the corporate and commercial sector for brands including Nokia, Channel 4, BBC, the Design Museum, Safestore and Burger King.
